Hey there, I'm April

If you had told 15-year-old me — the girl who left home with just a grade 8 education and a heart full of pain — that one day she'd be creating a global community for women in their 50s, she probably would've laughed (and cried) at the idea.

But here I am. And maybe you’re a little like me, too.

I spent years running — from place to place, job to job, trying to outpace the chaos of a dysfunctional childhood. At 15, I landed in the Northwest Territories working on the oil rigs in the freezing Beaufort Sea. (Yup, I was that girl in steel-toed boots.)

From there, I moved across Canada — always chasing the next version of “better.”

Life was messy, but it taught me how to hustle, adapt, and survive.

I’ve worn many hats — house cleaner, bookkeeper, mortgage broker, tech nerd, digital strategist — building businesses out of pure grit and curiosity.

I didn’t graduate high school until I was 50, and not because I wasn't smart — but because survival came first.

I’ve been (unsuccessfully) married twice — both times were lessons, not failures. I now know that it is not for me but so happy for those to pair into wedded bliss!

These days?

I’ve been single for 8 years, and honestly, I love it.

My time, my rules, my peace.

I travel freely with my tiny sidekick Lupita, a feisty little Chihuahua who runs the show. I still work but it is all remote and that allows me to travel, while I figure out how to pay for my retirement!

Latest Update !

I’m now officially a Mexican resident and planning my full-time move to Mexico in February 2026. Life just feels better there — a slower pace, warmer hearts, and new adventures calling.

Now, I’m building something new — something deeply meaningful.

A community of women over 50 who are tired of waiting.

Women who want more — more self-awareness, more confidence, more connection, more FUN.

This is a space for us — the late bloomers, the healers, the dreamers, and the doers.

I share real talk, tiny courses, inspiring YouTube videos, and affordable workshops designed to help you rediscover who you are and what’s next.

And yes, there will be destination retreats too — because we deserve joy, sisterhood, and growth under palm trees.

This isn’t just about self-development. It’s about becoming the woman you were always

meant to be.
